In a world of so much urban sameness, it is refreshing to come upon a mailbox the owners of which have refused to succumb to mediocrity and have created something that is personal, whimsical and creative. Driving along Canadian roads, it is a rare pleasure to photograph these little treasures, some of which are typical expressions of folk art. Here is hoping that others will want to share their pictures of interesting examples they have seen on the roads and highways they travel.
